Yesterday I spent another night trying to develop/find a workable personal information manager.
I have investigated a lot of different possibilities which I will document later but the right combination of flexibility and simplicity is proving elusive. I have resolved to reinvest in making better use of ZOOT but what is missing is the ability to easily tabulate time commitments. I love the flexibility to have many different views but the integration with scheduling the activities and calculating the time spent on projects is weak/complicated coordinating it with Outlook.
Since I use multiple computer types something multiplatform and available online is definitely desirable. The constructive thing would be to better document my requirements as a basis for evaluating what is out there. Maybe voodo2go or basecamp can do the trick or serve as an inspiration for my own implementation.
